Hmmm, I think I heard a BINGO out there ;)! Last few years, I saw the same thing with NetWare which I _KNOW_ to be stable in a WAN environment but rarely saw running that way. I believe that the "PC Mentality" in upper management is the problem there -- PC's are cheap so their maintenance ought to be cheap, regardless of whether you have one or ten thousand >8(.
