I think it's really telling him that "it's not a SAVE file". To get around this, it is necessary that the save file be created BEFORE FTPing the file to the AS/400. If the save file does not exist, FTP builds it as a physical file, and the restore then fails. William K. The save file contains program and file objects. I sent step by step instructions on how to unzip the file and FTP it to the AS/400 but the user is claiming the RSTLIB is failing with an error that the file is not a physical file. DSPSAVF command yields the same error. I think the user did not follow my instructions. However, to cover my bases let me ask, is it possible the library will not restore because it came from a machine using the English language to a machine using the French language? I wouldn't expect that to be a problem but I have to ask. Any other ideas on why this would fail? I used the same instructions to load the objects from a v4r1m0 machine to a v4r4m0 machine with no problem, both those machines are here in the USA.
