Did your instructions include a step to create the save file on the receiving 400 before FTPing the file into it? "Tom Bishop" <tbishop@solarcom.n To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com et> cc: Sent by: Subject: Restoring objects on a French Machine owner-midrange-l@mi drange.com 04/26/00 01:28 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L I zipped a save file, (saved at v4r2mo), and emailed it to a technically advanced user, (at v4r3m0) in France. The save file contains program and file objects. I sent step by step instructions on how to unzip the file and FTP it to the AS/400 but the user is claiming the RSTLIB is failing with an error that the file is not a physical file. DSPSAVF command yields the same error. I think the user did not follow my instructions. However, to cover my bases let me ask, is it possible the library will not restore because it came from a machine using the English language to a machine using the French language? I wouldn't expect that to be a problem but I have to ask. Any other ideas on why this would fail? I used the same instructions to load the objects from a v4r1m0 machine to a v4r4m0 machine with no problem, both those machines are here in the USA.
