When I was answering the question, I thought the issue was RPG III
versus RPG IV.  I was ranting against the advice that was being
given that in order to solve the problem, Sergeant Walsh was going
to have to recognize the fact that RPG III is dead and he and his
software provider were going to --HAVE-- to upgrade their tools
to the latest and greatest language, RPG IV...

Using either RPG III or RPG IV, the conversion back to
hours/minutes/seconds is pretty trivial, using
divide and "move remainder" ...

Using Query doesn't seem so tough either:

      hours   =  elapsed.seconds/3600  (drop the remainder)
      minutes = (elapsed.seconds - (hours * 3600))/60
      seconds = (elapsed.seconds - (hours * 3600)) - (minutes * 60)
