extracting size of gifs

I haven't tried this, but see no reason why the following Java snippet
wouldn't work:

     ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("image.gif");
     int height = image.getIconHeight();
     int width  = image.getIconWidth();

putting this code in a routine that uses the File class to step through
a subdirectory would allow you extract all of your images. I'll try this
out later today to see if it will really do it.
