Joe Many thanks for your help. > I haven't tried this, but see no reason why the following Java snippet > wouldn't work: > > ImageIcon image = new ImageIcon("image.gif"); > int height = image.getIconHeight(); > int width = image.getIconWidth(); > > putting this code in a routine that uses the File class to step through > a subdirectory would allow you extract all of your images I hadn't thought of Java. I have no knowledge of it and for my other needs am not in a hurry to learn, but of course if needs must ... However, the system on which the Web site is running is a 150, 64mb running V3R7 with that release's HTTP server - not WebSphere.. This is more than adequate for the web site at present although some more memory would be neccessary if the traffic built up. I thought that Java required enormous quantities of memory. Anyway I presume that V3R7 is not up to the job from a Java point of view. > . I'll try this > out later today to see if it will really do it. Irrespective of the possible V3R7 problem, it would be very nice to know if this would work and I much appreciate your being willing to try it. Can you think of a possible RPG solution? I tried looking at a JPG file through Workpad, but couldn't see the values I was looking for. I imagine that they are encrypted in some way.
