RE: can't ping AS/400 from outside

You need to define a route on the as400 to point to the router that connects
the two networks.  You can also start the TCP/IP server RouteD.  This will
then listen for the routers that broadcast their routes to the network.

off list if you need specific's

Ok folks,

This has me stumped:

1) given a network with AIX, Webserver, and AS/400
2) network connected to internet
3) from PC connected to interne (5000 miles away)
I can ping AIX, get pages from the Webserver,
but all attempts to ping the AS/400 times out.
4) Can ping the AS/400 from PCs on the intranet.
5) All IP addresses are correct.

Why can't I access the AS/400 from the outside?
No firewall problem that I know of.
Any special configuration for this needed on the AS/400?
