The whole area of DNS is beyond my skill  set but it has to do with why 
you get the same page every time you ask for www.whitehouse.gov. 

This is but a start and in itself will not resolve your problem.

See also the following host table commands: 
 
 o  Add TCP/IP Host Table Entry (ADDTCPHTE) command adds a new entry 
    in the local host table. 
 
 o  Change TCP/IP Host Table Entry (CHGTCPHTE) command changes one 
    or more host names or the text description field. 
 
 o  Merge TCP/IP Host Table (MRGTCPHT) command merges host names, 
    internet addresses, and text comment entries from a physical 
    file member into the local host table.  A replace option is also 
    provided that allows the entire local host table to be replaced 
    by the physical file member. 
 
 o  Remove TCP/IP Host Table Entry (RMVTCPHTE) command removes an 
    entire entry from the local host table.

Booth,

Sorry, but you're talking to a neophyte when it comes to communication.
What's a name server? I know we named the NetServer on the 400 (Qsomething
or other). Do you name each PC too?
