I am not sure I understand what you mean. If you use some kind of TCP/IP-based tunnelling (eg VPN), this will be entirely transparent to SNA over TCP. And the same tunnel, if it's two-way, will be used for SNA connections both ways. You only need to setup TCP/IP, IP addressed, routes etc. SNA over TCP by itself does not create a tunnel. When you request SNA session to SNA LU (aka remote location), system picks up SNA address to IP address mapping and asks TCP/IP stack to connect to IP address. Form this point on it's pure TCP/IP - until it reaches target system, where SNA over TCP will take over again. So all TCP/IP techniques apply.
