Note the following article on InfoWorld: http://www.infoworld.com/articles/hn/xml/00/10/10/001010hnforumchip.xml IBM unveils chip road map to support eServers It seems to imply new chips are only being done for the pSeries and zSeries, but then it lumps the AS/400 into the pSeries: Mark Papermaster, director of power microprocessor development for the IBM server group, said in an interview that the Power4 chip also remains on schedule for its release in pSeries systems (RS/6000 and AS/400) in early 2001. IBM is really going to have trouble with positioning their new names if their spokespeople can't even keep them straight...
