Thank you for restoring my sanity. This explained my confusion. And brings us back to another reason to stay current in OS. ;-) I can think of an argument for NOT locking this away from CA users. Let's say you write a batch program, myfile.bat, on the PC and it executes a remote command. Perhaps it's better left to exit point programming and the tools to handle this for you. I swore that I read that this was patched. FTP remote command was "fixed" in V4R2. Client Access Remote command (which uses DDM) will likely never be "fixed". jte P.S. If you really want to get there attention, change your reomte command to do something more powerfull like "rmtcmd crtlib qhack" and then follow it up with a "rmtcmd dltlib qhack". It has a more pronounced effect on the audience.... especially if they run with Object-Owner-profile = Group-Profile. -- John Earl johnearl@400security.com The PowerTech Group --> new number --> 253-872-7788 PowerLock Network Security www.400security.com -- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +--- +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
