All of the tools that I ever used for database generation were either the application itself or homegrown.  The tools used to refresh the database between tests were custom written for each test.  The performance monitor tools were usually the one that came with the system or custom written into specific app hot spots.  The interactive test driver tools were homegrown or Mercury Winrunner/Loadrunner.  I have used some custom tools that generated test scripts based on screen columns and application functionality - very slick.  What are you trying to find out?

Years ago, I bought an OS/2 application from IBM that stored old screens then reran the application and compared the new screens.  I might have worked but I didn't us it much.
