A couple of things to check :- How are the PCs and AS/400 connected to the LAN? Are they on the same LAN? What hardware, routers etc, are between the PCs and the AS/400? Are you routers IP configured or are they DLSW or SNA? Are there routes between the PCs and the AS/400? Do the PCs have host table entries for the AS/400? Check the Host Servers (STRHOSTSVR *ALL command) have been started? Check the Telnet service is running (STRTCPSVR *TELNET)? There are numerous other variables to consider.
