Just a thought - if this is SNA, is the new group profile one with *ALLOBJ
rights, & do you have QLMTSECOFR switched on? If both of these are true,
this is probably the issue - you need to obtain *CHANGE rights explicitly
to the relevant APPC *DEVD.

 Pete, they don't use TCP/IP, it works fine when the profile is with the
other group profile. The reason we switch group profiles is for object
access.
