     the date format for a job can be retreived by using RTVJOBA   DATFMT
(&DATFMT) or viewed by
doing a DSPJOB then option 2 the page roll.
The initial format for a job is usually the one defined in your system
values - try DSPSYSVAL  QDATFMT
