I have a Linux server here and this worked.
Log into the linux server.

mkdir temp
cd temp
put somefile.txt
put someotherfile.txt
cd ..
rename temp/somefile.txt ./somefile.txt
rename temp/someotherfile.txt ./someotherfile.txt

So what does this do? First, it creates a directory called temp inside
whatever the local directory is. Then it makes this temp directory the
local directory. Then we put the files we are uploading into this temp
directory, were the program/people downloading from this directory shouldn't
see or look for them.

After we get the file(s) uploaded we change the current directory to the
original directory. Then we move the files from the temp directory into the
original directory. There they are already uploaded and should be fine for
downloading at this point.

You state that you can not rename the files as they are random names, my
assumption was that even if you renamed them in the current directory the
program/
people would still download them when they saw them, no matter what name they
were.
Renaming them from a different directory should fix your program.

I couldn't use any authority commands as i'm uploading
to a unix based server from our AS/400 system & and
the renaming files couldn't be done as they were
program generated multiple files with random file
names! Please advice !

Thanks in advance,
Ravi
