Re: backups on AS/400, objects missing -- auto-run procedures

I save S/36 objects to one tape from within S/36 on OS/400 because even 
though save-all 400 supposedly saves all, some S/36 objects are not valid 
OS/400 objects & I am a bit paranoid about that.

There is a manual specific to people who doing both SSP & OS/400 stuff which 
has nice charts like 
"If I did this in SSP ... what is the equivalent command in OS/400"
or if we have a new 400 employee who knows zilch about SSP

There is also a slim manual for ordinary users
"I learned how to do various spool file things or look at what is in Jobq 
etc. with SSP commands" (of course the users are thinking in DF P,P1 or DF J 
terms) "... what OS/400 command does the same kind of thing?"

We no longer need this because we have menu options with WRKSBMJOB & WRKSPLF 
& etc. wrapped up so user takes menu option to see what is status of their 
jobs & why the printer is not doing their reports etc. but for command line 
users it sure helps when first on some OS to have this conversion chart, or 
in my case totally forgotten what the SSP command was to do something that I 
used to do every day.

On OS/400 command line GO SAVE and GO Backup takes you to a lot of stuff ... 
Go Backup is not advised any more ... GO RESTORE options should match menu 
item for menu item what is on GO SAVE.

There is a free IBM wall poster that charts what is in each GO SAVE option.
