Well, that conflicts with what others have said and what I've found so far, which indicates that the 7.0GB rating on the 6390 is *uncompressed*. With compression you can get up to 7.0 GB, however this largely depends on what kind of data you are backing up. (E.g. program objects and database objects back up with significantly different compression ratios.) So if you can get 2:1 compression you will get 7.0 GB on the tape, but if you only get 1.5:1 compression then you will only be able to fit 5.25 GB on the tape.
