I am not aware of any way to do that using what's already built in (not that that means there isn't one). Idea #1. Looks like CA supports macro/scripting with VBScript. Perhaps you could write a script that would watch the screen and/or Operator Info Area for the appropriate condition (i.e. a certain break message or whatever) and then change focus to itself. I am not sure what the capabilities of VBScript are. If you couldn't do it that way then you could certainly write a HLLAPI program that would. I'm not sure how you would make the script or HLLAPI program active all the time, so it would be automatic, and so it would not interfere with the normal use of the emulator. Idea #2. Maybe you could write a Windoze pgm that would look at all the applications running, figure out which one is CA, and change focus to that appl. Then you would have to have the AS/400 monitor for the condition and use run remote command to invoke the PC program. This way it could be controlled from the AS/400 side. Completely crazy idea #3. Maybe ask the operator to do their (*&^@#@^ job. -Marty ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 24 May 2001 12:53:47 -0500 From: Dimitri Efimov <defimov@wiese.com.pe> Subject: How make CA window active? We need to make emulator (Client Acess Express) window active on user PC from AS iteractive process. In other words, if interactive proces sent an attention message, we have to be sure that operator saw it (user can have othe applicatin active in this moment: Excel , etc.) Any ideas?
