Title: RE: Strange FTP problem

Since you are getting a syntax error instead of an authority error I suspect that the remote commands from the two clients aren't exactly alike.  Look for a subtle typo such as using an 'o' for an '0'.  If you have access to the offending ftp script I would suggest doing a cut and paste (so you don't introduce typos of your own) of the remote command to a command line on your system and prompt it.  See if you get any syntax errors.

Subject: Strange FTP problem

Hi all,

This one has me stumped. Many of our clients FTP files to us and then
execute a remote command (Quote rcmd xxxx). One client who shall remain
nameless, gets an error whenever they try to use the remote command. It
complains about the syntax of the rcmd command. They are on V4.4. We are on
V4.5. We do have another client on V4.4 who does exactly the same thing with
complete success.

Any ideas?
