yes, and no, how is your statement coded on the RF, are you looking for *D
or *M
I usually look for the diff in days, it sounds like you are looking for the
difference
in months, which the calc would be correct, but the logic may not fit the
need of the
program.  I would need more information to determine which case, the manuals
have a
pretty fair explanation of how the subdur gets its results (IE: if you
subtract one month
from 3/31, obviously 2/31 is not valid so it adjusts back to a valid date)

code snippets and business logic requirements would help, and more talent
for ILE/RPG is
listening on the rpg-l list.

Question when subtracting two dates using subdur the resulting month will
always round down.  Is there any function that will allow you to see the
remaining days to determine if you halfway thru the month so you can round
the month up?
