My memory is that when you push the white button you get the IBM equivalent of a QUESTION MARK meaning ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS then you have to push it AGAIN meaning YES. I do not know how long it waits between pushing it the two times. I would check to see what the IBM equivalent is of the question mark & if that is still sitting on the panel.
