A number of reasons, but I suspect their idea of quality control and the QC that is used in the rest of the industry are miles apart. Of course, the simpler answer is $$$, since as I recall, they are a public held company that almost requires a profit every single quarter. They have upheld that promise to the share holders for a very long time and lowering the price of hardware doesn't help the bottom line. I don't think they have ever called themselves the "cheapest solution in town". Their bottom line reflects that, and their customer loyalty remains very strong..... When your profits are measured in billions, there is no reason to lower prices. "Wills, Mike N.
