That would be me and I do not get overtime. Just expected as part of the job. And I do a system backup once a month now on a Saturday. The *hold I already had in my interactive job the old way. We got rid of our night operator and are now unattended at night. I get an email on cell of problems and dial in to fix. that is why I needed to move system backup. I had it as normal night time backup with an operator. -----Original Message----- From: fiona.fitzgerald@notes.royalsun.com [mailto:fiona.fitzgerald@notes.royalsun.com] Sent: Wednesday, October 10, 2001 8:39 AM To: midrange-l@midrange.com Subject: RE: System save I think that without 3rd-party software, you can only run one Interactive job, from the console, while in restricted state. I do remember setting my msgq delivery to *HOLD before starting the backup, as break messages would sit there delaying it otherwise. But you should get by with doing a savsys once a month, & backing up user libraries in unrestricted, unattended state. (If the company has a budget of zero, they should factor in the overtime allocated to performing this attended task outside hours ...)
