A BPCS standard that I need to copy in my programming.
When you are at a screen with a field like customer number
you can put the cursor on that field & F4 to get at a list of customers.
There are also links ... some function key gets you to a screen that has name
& address & other info about the customer.

You might look into how fax/400 functions. We do not have it but my
understanding is that you can be at a screen & you want this info to go via
fax, so there may be some screen capture software supported there.

What they want & what they are asking for, are not the same thing.
There are other alternatives to meeting their request.
>From the screen that has customer # for which they want to send info to the
customer, you could have a function key that calls a program & passes to it
the customer # & any other relevant information, then the called program
accesses the information they want & puts it into a form that will be
meaningful when transferred from 400 to PC for whatever further processing.
