There is (or was) a Vision Solutions product called Symbiator that will act
as a go-between between the two systems if this is important to you. There
are a couple of othre products as well - Data propogator springs to mind.

The Symbiator one does pretty much what I'm guessing you imagine access
would do - it links ot both data bases via ODBC and keeps them in synch
