Interesing how often FreeBSD suddenly is coming up in the Midange-L
mailing list, isn't it?

The story that you're referring to states that "Microsoft offers disparaging
remarks about open-source solutions".  That's not really true.  Microsoft
has never made disparaging remarks about FreeBSD.  Microsoft's remarks
have all been against the GPL licensed products such as Linux.

IMHO, Microsoft has tried elimining both OS/400 and FreeBSD from their
company, but Windows just isn't able to replace them.  It's just not
robust enough.
