I just finished setting up Anynet to a mainframe and I wouldn't recommend it
for the faint of heart. In addition, I'm not sure it supports 3270 emulation
devices. The telnet client on the AS/400 has parameters for 3270 so it seems
like a much simpler (and more efficient) way to go.

The as400 has something called ANYNET. It allows SNA to travel over
a
tcp/ip link. You need to find out if the mainframe supports ANYNET (
which
it probably does ) and then get the mainframe people to config it on
their
end ( probably much harder to get done ).
