We don't call them dumb terminals anymore. The correct phrase is
'cpu challenged'.

By the way, the VT100 emulation from an AS/400 telnet session to
a PC (oir anywhere else) is nothing pretty, either.

Our software company is finishing up a telnet server for 3270
and 5250 telnet in what I think of as page mode (versus
conversational mode for VT100 etc.) We are using it in our
archiving product. We already have a 5250 client written in RPG
(I think) that talks to the PC server thru TCP/IP. We wrote that
because some customers want to do command line parameters (look
in the invoice reports and find invoice = 524561, for example).

If anyone knows how to pass command lines thru tn5250 (AS/400)
or tn3270 apps, please clue me in.
