In continuance with my quest to understand and ultimately select a Fax
Serving solution for a client.

Getting closer to a decision but still not ready to choose.
Just found out about Keyes. The software-400 solution rather than the PC
Hardware method. ACOM overlay software produces the SAME ouptut through
either solution. Both choices offer e-mail and various 400 utilities. One
might think the issue of reliability would be a no-brainer: we all know the
400 "don't ever go down".

Is the system degradation so horrible when using software-400 that you'd
want to pay more money (even including the 18-20% maintenance) for a system
that produces the same output? If anyone would care to enlighten me on what
I'm missing, please do so.

If there are any Keyes people out there, I would appreciate comments from
both the technical and observability fronts.

Thanks much.
Rick Rayburn
