Wow!  Came back from Christmas holidays and just now got thru all the email,
most of it was from the midrange list folks and I am truly impressed.  The
generosity of this group, like Jim said, truly does make it "one of the best
fraternities around".  Will let you know what I come up with when I have
finished reading all the notes, and check some of the references offered.
Had no idea that what appeared to be a simple question was so much more
involved.  Inexperience can be a painful thing, but not for long.

Hope all had a great holiday.  (And totally offtopic, the new Lord of the
Rings movie is great!)

One of the best things about the people of midrange-L is the willingness to
take the time and help others, especially "newbies," with things that may be
very trivial to them.  IMO the IBM Midrange community is a close knit group,
and one of the best "fraternities" around.
