YES!  V5R1M0 CA reads the system it's attaching to, and adjusts to the
down level system as needed.
        I had V5R1 CA for months before I upgraded the server.  Worked
just peachy - many of the neatening up of Operations Navigator come in
handy when dealing with IFS objects...
