That is my point.  IBM doesn't have a monopoly.  You can migrate your app to
ORacle on Unix, use SOAP for your business logic, and a small web client or
VB/Delphi client for your display.

You only have to go to IBM for green screen.  But that is like saying MS has
a monopoly on your application because you wrote it in VB, which only MS
provides.  You can rewrite it for soemthing else if you want, though.

Proprietary is not a monopoly.
