Actually, yes. If IBM were the only vendor with a solution for large
databases, they would have a monopoly on that market. You are starting
to get it. But you'll notice that Adam posted the second line as a
question. He wanted you to look at the question, think about it and
realize that you don't have to go to IBM for a large database. So there
are other choices. Hence, there is a difference between IBM/iSeries and
Standard Oil (in some historical monopoly on oil context).
