PROPRIETRY! NOT MONOPOLY!

I wrote a Visual Basic app. It is PROPRIETRY, Micorsoft does NOT have a
MONOPOLY on my application.

You write a C++ application and it has a couple API calls that are unique to
Irix Unix. Does that make Irix a monopoly to your app? No. You DO have an
alternative to rewrite it to move soemwhere else.

Just because one is a bigger job than others, does not make it proprietary.

If 5250 apps were monopolistic from IBM, how come people on another thread
were talking about iSeries LOSING customers? Apparently they are able to
move their apps somewhere else, right?
