Oops.  Didn't mean to imply it was the STRDBG command - forget the name, but
there is a performance monitoring tool that logs, in great detail, the
QZDASOINIT jobs.  This showed each statement, and how long it took to
complete it.

I'll add one more piece.  We currently use the AS/400 as the database server
for our web applications, but if we cannot get the system performing better
we'll have to migrate the apps off the 400.  Am hoping this is not the case
(last thing I need is another replication project) but the performance
difference is that significant.

How would running debug (STRDBG ?) give any indication of OS/400 database
performance in handling an ODBC request?
