Okay, now I'm confused.  What does VB ODBC performance have to do with web
applications?  Are you distributing thick-client VB programs and then
connecting them via ODBC to an AS/400?  Or are you running VB applications
on a Microsoft web server and using the AS/400 as a back end processor?  In
either case, you might want to look into a different architecture.  Servlets
and JSP perform quite nicely on the AS/400.
