Joel,

The only place you will potentially take a hit is on the conversion of spool
files going from v4Rx to V5R1.  If I remember correctly, there are
instructions in the Software Install Guide for estimating the time for that.
If you do not have many spool files, it does not take long at all.  I had <
25 when I started my V5R1 upgrade.
