Anne, FYI. I received a VM last night from Martin Garvey (Information Week) regarding his article. Even though his article was slanted more towards the blade servers I did thank him in the same manner as the other reporters. He may have taken my letter as a wee bit of chastising since I went on to cover all kinds of things that weren't mentioned in his article, but he was very nice about everything. In his message he indicated that he wanted to write a complete article on the iSeries announcement but was told to include highlight the blade servers. Which is ok, that stuff happens but I thought I'd pass that on. Secondly, he indicated that if he had his way, that there would be a lot more coverage of the iSeries. He says that despite the fact that he has to remain unbiased, if he had to choose a computer system to support his company that it would be the iSeries hands down. He mentioned that he has been to Rochester many times and even was asked (of the cuff) to repeat iSeries praise he had mentioned to IBM executives to a group of salesman that were meeting there. He emphatically believes it is the best system out there. John Carr has a better memory than I on this subject but if my memory serves me correctly Information Week has been one of the better magazines for positive iSeries coverage and I am pretty sure the Mr. Garvey has done many fine articles on the system. I will call Martin sometime today to at least explain that I wasn't complaining and that I really did appreciate his efforts. Michael Crump Saint-Gobain Containers 1509 S.
