Chuck,

The other thing to consider is that a system task is running and taking up
your CPU%.  Without performance tools and the WRKSYSACT command I'm not
sure how you would see this......

WRKACTJOB will only show jobs...........

My nightly backup has suddenly gone from 2.5 hours to 5-6 hours in
length.

When I do WRKACTJOB, I see my CPU is at 90+ % of utilization, yet when I
sort by CPU usage, it adds up to only 3-4%

What else is going on?????

Of note: This week we upgraded our point-of-sale system from OPM to ILE.
But when the backup runs, QINTER is down, the job is submitted, running
in it's own activation group, and nothing else is running...where is the
90% at?
