Booth: Is this an ANSI x.12 or EDIFACT EDI formatted file. If it is, even if you could get past the issue of the segment and element delimiters, most, if not all EDI files use multiple records types (called segments), so I am not sure how you will account for receiving multiple record type into a single file. Sounds like an EDI translator may be in your future. cjg Carl J. We've been instructed to expect a file with a tilde (~) as the terminating character for each record and an asterisk(*) as the field delimiter. Is there a way with CPYFRMSTMF to receive this file? --------------------------------------------------------- Booth Martin http://www.MartinVT.com Booth@MartinVT.com --------------------------------------------------------- _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
