Guys

This will work OK on V5R1 make sure you have the PTF SI04503,SI04504 and
SI04511, this will make a great difference in Speed (Factor 6 faster, our
backup went from 5 hours on an LTA drive back to under 1 hour) V5R2 has
these improvements allready.
After this fix the Integrated server is handled using a domain user before
it uses a local user (be sure to set proper autority for this user, which
must exist on the AS/400 and in the NT domain).

Because your integrated server needs to be active for this save several
(Windows-system)-files will be locked.
You may have to stop several services to unlock files.

Groetjes (Greetings)

Actually, you can back up your windows files on the integrated server now.
It is documented here: http://makeashorterlink.com/?M2C621971 This requires
you to synchronize users, create a share for each drive you want to save and
add a member to the QAZLCSAVL file in QUSRSYS. I'm working on setting this
up now on our server so I can't tell you how well it works yet.
