[ Converted text/html to text/plain ] The system is holding the print file almost certainly because of a communication problem somewhere. 1. I don't recommend changing the auto-configured values to add pdt's etc. This only likely to confuse matters. 2. You say have other PC printers working. Apart from the printer model, what differences are there between the sessions that work, and the ones that don't? The 400 doesn't care what what printer you have attached to your PC, it sees the PC5250 session as the printer and sends the data to that. The PC5250 session then prints to the selected PC printer. It is quite possible to have the wrong printer information in the PC5250 session and the AS/400 will still print, however, usually this results in gobledegook being printed as hardcopy. You need to investigate why the printout has been placed on hold. Check QSYSOPR message queue for other messages, there may be information here. Check to see if the writer is active, Determine if the writer ends when you start to print, Will the writer start? If the writer is ending, is there anything in the joblog for that writer that can identify the error being received? Do you have a conficting configuration that is preventing the device from functioning correctly In the PC5250 session, have you selected a printer device in File -> Printer Setup In the PC5250 confuiguration screen, have you selected host print transform, and, if so, is this configured as the correct printer? I should be able to use it as an AS400 printer for any reports as well... correct? Why is placing on HOLD this one-page report (a simple print screen I did)? I can create a printer emulation session for the other two printers I have (HP 5Si and HP 4Si) and print with no problems. WOW! This is a good one! I am really getting out of options here...
