Gee, do I ever agree.   When you SNADS's something,  it got delivered.
When you FTP something,  You are on your own(is that a error return code or
the number of records transfered?).

If it got half there and then Comm failure,  It would start over
automatically.  FTP? Well you may have gotten some records, maybe not.

This whole issue makes me pine for the days of true SNADS
distributions-- the origin of the SNDDST and RCVDST and QRYDST
commands-- when SNA had a firm grip on the message from point of
origin all the way to the destination-- and when SNADS said it was
delivered, it was delivered.  And when SNADS said it was read, it was
read.  And on the 7th day SNADS rested.   (:
