Okay....you can scratch Problem #1 (it is the QUTCOFFSET)
It should be at -05:00 because of daylight savings time.

Chgsysval qutcoffset(-05:00)
Endtcpsvr *mgtc
Strtcpsvr *mgtc

That fixed it.

(who would have thought that it would use that sysval <shrug> )

but those 2 errors still annoy me.

I am on V5R1 CUM level 2134 and latest SP for Client Access/Ops Navigator.

Problem #1 -

When trying to schedule the performance collections job
By right clicking on the system name and then choosing collections services

I choose schedule and it comes up with a default time to start/stop it of 1
hour ahead f what the actual time is both on my AS/400 clock (wrksysval
QTIME) And my PC's clock which is set to the correct time zone and has the
check in it for daylight savings.

My sysval QUTCOFFSET is at -06:00 (which is correct).

Where is it picking up this "incorrect" time ? (or is it a "bug")

Problem #2 -

When looking at the joblog for QYPSJSVR in QSYSWRK (Management central job)

I see 2 errors (CPFB92A and CPFB96B) that were generated right around the
same time

That I scheduled the start/stop times for the collections job.

When I go into Management Central for that system and look at the
collections task

It is setup to start/stop....IBM says it's a firewall port issue that's
causing these errors.

(But after checking with my firewall folks they can't see a block when I try
the scheduling)

Tell me it's not just me having these "issues" and I will sleep better :-)
