Richard: On our web site, there is some code you can download (free) that will tell you if the dial up PPP connection is established and retrieve the IP address. The code was written by Art Tostaine, Jr. a frequent contributor to the list. Regards, cjg Carl J. If I start the FTP client session too soon after I issue the STRTCPP2P command, the connection locks up and never completes. only if I wait until the device job gets the dialup connection complete message, will the ftp make the connection. any ideas? thanks, rick _______________________________________________ This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
