In the case of Robot/SAVE (disclaimer: I am the programmer that wrote, and
continues to support, this portion of the code in Robot/SAVE), the process
itself intercepts the message (before it is a message) and circumvents the
situation - in a real-world situation this really only works with a tape
librarian or a "stacker". For example, a write-protected tape will be
noticed to be write-protected and it will be "rejected in favour of"
another tape, which will be loaded and the process continues... all
without the CPA4262 being issued to the job.
