I did have an experience with the Best Power UPS that IBM sells as the
9910 (I think that is the model) The battery racks had blue handles.
These handles were part of the safety interlock. The tabs on the handle
would break, tripping the safety interlock, killing the system. BEST has
a redisgned handle to cure the problem

I have a situation where there are two AS400's on a UPS and they both
blinked and shutdown at the same time. The BP says that the batteries are
dead and the best option is to replace the UPS. Sorry I don't have more
details yet.

Anyone heard of this?
