I just got done upgrading my agreements at the Hardware Mall. So, for the fun of it, I went over to the Software Mall. It seems that I can't get in unless I pay for the IBM Value Package for Developers (it's about $600/year). Is this right? Because over the last six months, I've had several people say I should go to the Software Mall to download stuff. Well, I've never gotten around to it, and now I see that it's another fee-based "service". How many people here use the Software Mall? Are there independent developers ponying over the $600, and what benefit are you getting from it? I'm just trying to decide whether I can justify the cost to my CFO. Joe
