That's what I like about this list...the help that is offered to all.
Someone has a legitimate question, and since it doesn't 'fit' in the mindset
of some of the more active posters (or poseurs as it may be), the person is
flamed.

Happy holidays all...

Doesn't look like you needed any help at that, does it?

Thanks for not answering my question and wasting my time with that lengthy
email aimed at making me look a fool...jerk.

Sorry to hear that.

Not that I know of. Perhaps there's a MicroFocus COBOL newsgroup that
might
know this. I assume since you're moving your business applications to this
platform, you've got some support options in place. Did whoever decided
this move consider the migration aspect? Do you have a deadline in place
for the move? If so, how much time was budgeted for the conversion,
parallel processing and testing? Since you're about to start your
migration, it seems a little late in the game to start researching
relatively major issues like data conversion.

add to that the fact that you're moving OFF the AS/400. There's not many
of
us here who are interested in that particular direction. This newsgroup is
focused on those who are moving TO (or at least staying on) the midrange
platform.

Good luck to you. It looks as though you're going to need it.

Joe
